Friends of stoneworks Orkney began with a simple idea - build something special that brings people together and help others.

What started as a garden project grew into a place where the community gathers, stories are shared and live feeds connect people near and far.

​

Every stone placed had a purpose; to create something welcoming, meaningful, and built to give back.

​

We are a non profit charity and 100% of the money raised goes directly to local causes.

So far, £142.000 has been donated to local causes.

​

Included in that figure is £8200 we helped to raise in Shetland towards two of their local charities - a small way of saying thank you for all the support and kindness they show us.

​

Like and large community project, the garden grows step by step. we build and improve it as and when we can afford to, we are grateful for the patience and support that makes this project worthwhile.
